  8. name was Chung-wen, was a 
  9. native of Changchow in
  10. Kiangsu province.  He 
  11. gained wide fame as a 
  12. master of calligraphy. 
  13. A Ming critic commented
  14. that Sung's calligraphy
  15. captured the essence and
  16. genius of the ancients.
